READABIT.INTM is an online subscription based rental service that allows its members to rent books through its website located at https://readabit.in. After completion of online registration by a member He/she can then browse/search books he/she would like to read, and add them to his/her virtual Bookrack (My Bookrack). Number and value of Books will be subject to the plan opted by the member.
For Rs.1,00,000 onetime payment one can avail Unlimited deliveries of up to Rs.2,000 worth of books per delivery for life time and every year one can suggest up to Rs.12,000 worth of books of their choice subject to the conditions mentioned under Suggest your Book below. Those who want to receive books of higher value every year they can opt for by paying in Multiples of Rs.1,00,000 and respectively the value of delivery will be calculated.
Once payment has been received the first set of books will be delivered to the member at the shipping address provided at the time of registration. The number and value of books delivered at a time by READABIT.INTM is as per his/her Subscription plan. Once a member is done with the first set of books, he/she can opt for next delivery for the books allocated in their respective Bookrack and the delivery will happen against the return of the first set of books taken earlier and It will be processed within 2 to 5 working days. Your READABIT.INTM membership will continue in effect unless you cancel your membership or we terminate it. You must cancel your membership before it renews each month in order to avoid billing of the next month's membership fees to your Payment Method. We will bill the membership fee plus any applicable tax to the Payment Method you provide to us during registration (or to a different Payment Method if you change your account information).
Members can opt for this when they can personally come and pick up the books from our Library at Madurai.
Those who read rarely or only latest books can opt for this and it has got both self-service and delivery. In case of Delivery Rs.4/km is charged upto 20 kms and beyond that 2 way courier charges will be applied. Rent is charged from 10 percentage to 50 percentage of MRP which is mentioned on our website or pevailing market price whichever is higher.
On receipt of Primary Amount for the books selected, member will be delivered with the book from 2 business days to 5 business days. If an item is out of stock and we cannot source another one for you then you will be notified via email in 72 hours and refunded with your money for Individual Book Renting. If an item is out of stock, yet we are able to source the book you will be notified as to the delay in shipment time. You may at this point cancel your order if you wish before the item is prepared for delivery. You may request cancelation through the contact us section of the website.
We endeavour to send out your books as one order. However, if you order multiple books you may receive the books separately, products that are unavailable at the time of shipment will be shipped as they become available, unless cancelled.
Books that you select to rent will be placed under "My Bookrack". You may add books or request the sequence of books you want to receive by communicating to us. You must have at least 15 books in your Bookrack. Click the "My Bookrack" tab to make adjustments, review requested books or to see which books you currently have. We will determine which books to send you based on the books in your Bookrack and the priority in which you have listed them. We endeavour to deliver the books listed highest in your Bookrack; however, when availability is limited, we may ship you books lower in your Bookrack. Adjustments made to your Bookrack may not immediately impact your next delivery. In certain instances, you may have adjusted your Bookrack before you have received a delivery message when in fact a delivery was already processed. The adjustments will, however, impact subsequent deliveries.
This applies for LIFE TIME, LIMITED, UNLIMITED, SINGLE and LEND customers only. Limited and Lend Members can suggest books only if they have subscribed for a year. It will be limited to ₹150 worth of books every month for Limited and Lend Members and ₹300 worth of Books every month for Unlimited Members. Unused Suggestions every month cannot be carry forwarded to next month. For the books suggested above the free value mentioned, member should pay additionally 30% on the excess value of that book. Books suggested will be arranged based on the availability. On availability the members will be informed and the suggested books will be kept for 15 days before lending it to other members. In case of SINGLE Plan, the suggested books minimum rental will be charged from 30% to 50% of MRP.
Books suggested should be common books which can be read by most of the members such as Fiction, Non Fiction, Self-help and should not be purely academic or the one will loose its validity in a short period such as 1 to 5 years.
READABIT.INTM allows you to read but not to write on the book, we ask you to be considerate of other users who will use the book in the future.

If we are unable to rent out the book again due to unreasonable damage then you will be charged the maximum retail price (MRP) quoted on our website or the prevailing Market Price whichever is higher. In this circumstance you will be able to keep the book after completing your payment.
If you lose the book, please contact us here. In this event you will be charged the retail price quoted on our website.
In the event of ‘damages’ or ‘loss’ of the book READABIT.INTM has the right to charge your security deposit or credit card for the recommended retail price. You will be communicated via email or via telephone before this occurs.
READABIT.INTM offers door delivery for individual book renting India-wide as well as express delivery in most states, to serviceable areas only as per the serviced city list. Areas outside of the serviceable area will incur additional fees. You can also come into our office within Madurai to pick up and drop off your books for free.
Once you have ordered your books, you will receive a confirmation of your order. You will then receive your books in a minimum of 1-2 business days for Madurai and 2-4 business days for other places if it's in stock or 3-9 business days if we need to order it.
Please note that our guarantee is on the book title, not book copy. That is, if you request for a particular book, we will send you the copy that is currently in stock. This may or may not correspond with the publisher, book image or publishing date that you have selected. If you wish to only be delivered the book copy that you have selected, please send an email to our customer service. This will however, lower the probability of you getting the books and the Primary Amount and the rental structure may change based on it.

READABIT.INTM has the right to change or modify our Terms of Use, which is effective upon its posting to the READABIT.INTM website. Through the use of the website and or our services you agree to be bound to these changes after the modifications have been up loaded. Therefore, it is up to you to check our terms of use upon your use of our website and or services so that you are aware of any changes made.
These Terms of Use, including any other documents referred to in these terms or any other terms and conditions provided to you via the use of our Website or Service are the entire agreement between you and READABIT.INTM regarding the Website and the Service. These conditions will supersede any terms and / or conditions you include with any purchase order regardless of whether READABIT.INTM signs them or not.
‘Service’ refers to an online service, in which User can rent books from READABIT.INTM for a predetermined period of time (delivered by Akshara Reading Habit (OPC) pvt ltd or a third party) and where the user can donate READABIT.INTM their used books and earn points (given that READABIT.INTM agrees based on the condition and popularity of the book).
Your READABIT.INTM subscription will be automatically renewed on a monthly basis. We will bill the monthly subscription fee plus any applicable tax to the Payment Method you provide to us during registration (or to a different Payment Method if you change your account information). Your membership will automatically renew for successive monthly subscriptions, without prior notice to you, unless and until you cancel your membership or we terminate it. You must cancel your membership before it renews each month in order to avoid billing of the next month's subscription fees to your Payment Method.
All-inclusive fees will be displayed upon check out of the READABIT.INTM Fees. There will be no hidden fees in addition to these. Upon check out Secure Payment Gateway, a third party, will store your credit card, debit card or Internet Banking and other mode of payment information, which will be encrypted and you hereby acknowledge and agree that READABIT.INTM may use this information to charge you for any lost, stolen or damaged books associated with your account. By using the service and the website you agree to the storing of your credit card, debit card or Internet Banking and other mode of payment information. You also agree to any additional charges as specified in these Terms of Use or on the website including damaged or lost books, unreturned books, auto- extensions and rented books. You agree that we may, at our sole discretion, send your account to a collection agency if you fail to pay all fees due and owing to READABIT.INTM. Provided you continue to be a paying member of our service, you may keep the book(s) delivered to you as long as you like. You will be required to return the books within 5 days following any cancellation of the service or be subject to charge for unreturned book(s). Also, you may be charged for book(s) that you lose or damage. In the event that the number of lost book(s) on your account becomes excessive, as we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion, we will notify you that your account has been placed on hold for review and may charge your Payment Method for the estimated cost of the lost book(s). We will alert you of any potential charges prior to charging your Payment Method. All fees and charges are non-refundable and there are no refunds or credits for partially used periods.
By using the READABIT.INTM service, you are expressly agreeing that we are permitted to bill your subscription fee, any applicable taxes and any other charges you may incur in connection with your use of the READABIT.INTM service. Additional charges may include books you fail to return, or a billing plan change you request. As used in these Terms of Use, "billing" shall indicate either a charge or debit, as applicable, against your Payment Method. The subscription fee will be billed at the beginning of your subscription and on each subscription renewal thereafter unless you cancel your membership. We will automatically bill your Payment Method on the calendar day corresponding to the commencement of your membership changes in Membership Plans:
A member may change plans at any time. Upgrades in plans will only result in billing the difference of the plans. Downgrades in plans will affect the next billing cycle. No refunds for partial months of use will be credited. Future billing cycles will be billed at the new rate.
You may cancel your subscription to READABIT.INTM at any time, and cancellation will be effective immediately. You reserve the right to cancel your account at any given time, pending the return of any outstanding payments and or books being rented from READABIT.INTM.
WE DO NOT PROVIDE REFUNDS OR CREDITS FOR ANY PARTIAL-MONTH SUBSCRIPTION PERIODS OR UNREAD BOOK(S). To cancel your membership, you need to call on our customer care numbers on 9843253826 and request the same to our customer care executive. Upon cancellation, you will be given 5 days to return any outstanding rentals. Failure to return such rentals will result in your Payment Method being billed for such items. READABIT.INTM reserves the right to terminate your membership for any or no reason.
In the event that your membership is cancelled, we will refund your security deposit after ensuring all outstanding charges applicable have been processed. We transfer to the bank account in the name of the member as appears at the time of registration within fifteen working days from the date of request.
Special offers, if any, are available only for first-time READABIT.INTM members, unless otherwise expressly stated in the offer.
We distribute books and we reserve the right to display and promote the information on our Website to you in any manner we choose in our sole and absolute discretion. In addition, the READABIT.INTM Website allows you and other third parties to post reviews or comments concerning the entertainment distributed by us. Any opinions, advice, statements, services, offers, or other information that constitutes part of the content expressed or made available by third parties on the READABIT.INTM Website are those of the respective authors and not of Akshara Reading Habit (OPC) Pvt Ltd, or its shareholders, directors, officers, or employees.
